Call for Papers: Child Health in China

China has the second largest population of children and has made major advances in reducing child poverty and mortality. There are, however, still large numbers of disadvantaged children, especially in the Western rural areas of China. This Special Collection welcomes original papers, review articles, research letters, and editorials on any aspect of child health and wellbeing in China, and specifically covering the general remit of:
  • specific diagnostic or management measures (or guidelines) for children in China
  • epidemiological studies of common diseases affecting children in China
  • improving the healthcare for children by the government and health workers
  • reducing health inequalities
  • the effects of climate change on children’s health
  • rational drug therapy
Contributions should be thoughtful, scholarly, informative, evidence based and written in a way that respects local culture, beliefs and medical science. It is expected that accepted contributions will inform clinical practice and experiences and highlight ways in which continued child poverty and mortality can be reduced, and child health improved. All submitted material will be peer reviewed and reviews published alongside the article as part of the journal’s Open Peer Review policy. Priority will be given to well-balanced and evidence-based articles that help practitioners understand their work in the wider context. Preliminary enquiries and manuscript submissions may be sent in the first instance to the Journal Editorial Office, China [xchen@bmj.com]. Please consult the journal’s instructions for authors for submission requirements for each article type. To submit, please follow the instructions and select [Child Health in China]. We are pleased to offer a 25% discount on the APC for authors from China for this special collection. Contributions accepted for publication will be published shortly after acceptance, usually within 15 days. Important Date: Submission deadline: 30 April 2023
