Vision for the journal
We will publish all research on health and wellbeing on neonates, infants, children and young people that is ethically and scientifically sound.
As a multidisciplinary journal, we will publish qualitative, mixed methods, and quantitative research and ensure that the interpretation of the data is objective and appropriate.
We will highlight the link between social determinants and child health.
We will publish protocols of ongoing/planned research to improve transparency between researchers.
We will publish clinical reviews that educate health professionals.
We will be professional in our processing of papers – objective, transparent and in an appropriate
amount of time.
Peer review will be transparent.
All articles will be open access, ie free to read for all around the world.
We will be an advocate for child health in all countries and communities around the world.
We will aim to give children and young people a voice in relation to their experiences accessing
healthcare.
We will work with the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health while ensuring editorial independence.
